The Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division regulates all entities that sell alcohol and tobacco in the State of Iowa. Collectively, the Division oversees approximately 9,000 Iowa retail businesses or, alternatively stated, 23% of the state's retail outlets. The range of ABD's regulatory scope includes restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, golf courses, civic centers, taverns and other retail services.
