ANKENY (April 4, 2000) The Iowa Alcoholic Beverages
Division has listed a new product that is sure to create an interest
among retailers and consumers.
This spirit, LEsprit de Courvoisier is a Lalique
crystal decanter containing an exquisite blend of old and rare cognacs
from many of the finest vintages in history, some nearly 200 years
old. Two bottles arrived last week.
According to Courvoisier, LEsprit is exceptionally
complex and full bodied and possesses a remarkable smoothness, with
flavors ranging from cigar leaves, coffee notes and sweet notes
such as prune, dried apricot, honey and fruitcake.
The retail price for a .750 ml bottle is expected to be in the $5,000.00
range plus sales tax and the 5¢-bottle deposit.
