Case Code Label Instructions

1. The actual size of the case code label is 4" x 6".

2. Case code labels should be printed on white stock paper with black lettering unless otherwise approved.

3. Case code labels must include the following:

  • Product Description with size included
  • Control State Code (CSC)
    • The three-digit prefix that identifies class and type.
    • The unique CSC number omitting all leading zeros.
    • The two digit suffix identifying the size.

    • The Control State Code number should be 7/8" to 1" high. The prefix and suffix number should be 1/4" to 1/2" high.

  • Universal Price Code (UPC) Symbology should be located in the lower left-hand corner of the case code label.
  • The label should be located on an end panel.
