Liars Club Photos
Liars Club is located on the second floor of the Court Center Building on the corner of 3rd and Court, downtown Des Moines. A.K. O'Connor's, Legends American Grill, C.C. Taft and Company, People's Court and Backstage Bar also occupy the building.
Liars Club features a unique sunk-in bar. The crow's nest DJ booth provides the music and a panoramic view of the entire bar.
Owners, Jeremy Mahler (left), Frankie Farrell (right), and Earl Ramey (not pictured) say Liars Club is a combination of a lot of cool things they'd seen at bars all over the country plus some of their own unique ideas.
When walking in the door at Liars Club, the first thought is of a punk rock bar. The artwork on the walls is reminiscent of tattoos and old school rock and roll posters are plastered everywhere. Upon closer inspection, leather booths and dark wood make the place seem homier and more welcoming.
