The Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division, though the Iowa Pledge Retailer Certification program,
offers training for all tobacco retailers in the state--free of charge. The training
focuses on how to identify false or altered IDs, as well has how to determine if a
patron is old enough to purchase tobacco products. Training also covers penalties
associated with illegal sales to minors, and other regulations that govern tobacco
permits in Iowa.
Iowa Pledge educational materials are available free of charge and are distributed during
