Conference on Tobacco Enforcement Highlights
More than 100 Iowa Pledge law enforcement partners, along with city and county attorneys gathered at the Des Moines Hotel Savery on August 28th and 29th, 2002 to participate in the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division's first annual Conference on Tobacco Enforcement..
The conference objective was to identify
and discuss methods to eliminate youth access to tobacco. Agenda items included
compliance check procedures, state and local educational initiatives and local
tobacco enforcement. An afternoon was devoted to concurrent breakout sessions
where participants sharpened their tobacco control skills in highly interactive
settings.
